Boundary Adjustments

Rural land has its complexities

You have a rural property and you want to get the best use out of it and ensure it works into the future.

A boundary adjustment can be required when:

  • It makes sense to move a boundary to work with the terrain

  • You want to swap part of your land with a neighbour

  • You want to split the land up equitably for the next generation

…and more.

At Robertson Surveying, we can provide advice on what’s possible with your land, help adjust boundaries and ensure that arrangements are in place to deal with issues such as access, water and services.

“Sometimes it makes sense to move a boundary to get the most out of your land”

Subdivisons

Unlock the value in your land

If you’ve got a large parcel of land that you’d like to create split into multiple titles to sell, you will need to complete a subdivision.

The general steps in a subdivision include:

  1. Analyse your site to understand what you can do with your land

  2. Complete a design of your proposed subdivision, looking at the constraints and opportunities of the site

  3. Make an application to council for development consent

  4. Undertake the subdivision (this could include providing access and services to new lots, adhering to council requirements)

  5. Your subdivision is registered with NSW Land Registry Services and you receive your new Titles you can sell

Our Registered Surveyors can assist you with each step of this process, taking the legwork out of it and making it simple.

Rural FAQs

  • Depending on the scale of your project, you may need consent from council. But under some circumstances you do not. We can provide specific advice on this from the start of your project.

  • This depends on whether consent is required from council and if there is any physical work required to complete it. We will make the process as quick and easy as possible and we have an optional express registration service so that you can have your new Titles as quickly as possible.
